Project

The Health and Educational Relief Organization (HERO) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing free healthcare and humanitarian aid to underserved communities. Since 2000, HERO has led annual medical missions to countries like Guyana, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Haiti, and Jamaica—fully funded by volunteers.

Each year, HERO conducts weeklong missions in March and August. Teams of licensed healthcare professionals and carefully selected pre-med students are deployed to both rural and urban areas, working alongside local providers to deliver care, share knowledge, and promote lasting health solutions
